SYA Party - Oct. 3rd

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for such a delay, but I've been quite busy - haha another excuse...

Well let me start with giving you a brief outline of what's been happening in my life:

Oct. 3rd: SYA Party (pictures included in this post)

Oct. 18th: Balamitra Bodi (Tribal villages; Araku Valley)

Week of Oct. 19th: Jodhaa Akbar

Oct. 25th: weekend outing with Jenna and Brooke (lots of stories.. haha)

Oct. 28th: Diwali

Nov. 1st: Mrs. Kuriyan's Birthday

Nov. 2nd: Shreya (my host sister)'s Birthday/ Beach Cleanup

Since I've already included the pictures from the SYA party, I think I'll start with that.

I know, it's been more than a month, but I thought that it was worth including it in my blog.

The party took place at a huge fort, which is owned by Chloe's host family, on the beach road.

Chloe's family comes from a royal background (in Hindi, raja refers to king and rani means queen) and apparently they have forts/palaces all over India!

Sweet India, which I have mentioned in previous posts, catered and we absolutely enjoyed mini samosas and chicken curry!

The party was organized in a very Indian way; there was a DJ that blasted Hindi songs and the party also included Indian games like Housie, an Indian version of Bingo.

By the time I got back home, it was past midnight and I was exhausted, but it was definitely worth it!
